HMA Denis Keefe presented awards to TV journalists (07/10/2009)
On 5 October, HMA Denis Keefe presented awards to television journalists who participated in a practical training event and contest organised by the Institute for War and Peace Reporting. Eight TV crews from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan took part in a simulated war operation at Vaziani base outside the Georgian capital and produced reports on the day's events. This is part of ongoing activities implemented by IWPR under the project ‘Building Bridges/Building Capacity in the South Caucasus’ funded by the UK government. The winner of the contest was Georgian Public Broadcaster and the second place went to the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety, Azerbaijan."
